Galeria Nuno Centeno is proud to present DARK NOISE, a solo exhibition by Xavier Almeida (b. 1980, Ovar, Portugal), curated by Rodrigo da Costa Lima.
Xavier Almeida’s work is always performative
Not in the sense of the act’s presence and permanence but in the sense that it is an indetermined process
Being in the presence of one of these artworks is like observing a stain that extends itself, searching for a limit
Space is mobile, time is slow and the soundtrack is noisy
Dark Noise is a no sound, aswell as non-color and nonsense
– Rodrigo da Costa Lima
