Didier Fiúza Faustino
HABITACLES
Featured Represented Artists:
Galeria Nuno Centeno is glad to introduce, for the first time at our gallery, Didier Fiúza Faustino.
In this exhibition, Didier Fiúza Faustino questions the habitability of our world. What remains when everything lies exposed – our bodies, our ideas, our identities? How can we resist being dispossessed? How do we safeguard our physical, social, and mental integrity? Each work interrogates notions of protection, intimacy, and community. Like a quiet house still lit after a sleepless night, they stand as attracting yet defiant habitacles.
Didier Fiúza Faustino (1968, France) is a French-Portuguese conceptual artist and architect exploring the relationship between body and space. Through his practice, he questions the physical, social and political body by engaging with the notions of identity, limits and trajectories. His multi-faceted works, ranging from sculptures and photographs to films, installations and architecture, function as fictional proposals and speculative hypotheses that invite us to reflect on the established norms and behaviours of our living environment and on the boundaries we create for ourselves.
