The program begins with a period reserved exclusively for industry professionals, later opening to the general public. Galeria Nuno Centeno will be showcasing artworks from João Penalva, José Pedro Croft, Maria Capelo and Sobral Centeno at the Booth C03.

João Penalva (b. in Lisbon, 1949) lived in London before returning in 2021 to Lisbon. After an early career in contemporary dance, he studied at the Chelsea School of Art.
His work explores narratives that blur the lines between reality and fiction through multiple mediums such as writing, painting, drawing, installation, photography, and video.
He represented Portugal at the 23rd Bienal de São Paulo, the 49th Venice Biennale and in the 2nd Berlin Biennale. His work has been featured in institutions such as the Museu Serralves (Porto, Portugal), Calouste Gulbenkian Museum (Lisbon, Portugal), Camden Arts Centre (London, United Kingdom), and the Ludwig Museum (Budapest, Hungary).

José Pedro Croft (b. Porto, 1957) lives and works in Lisbon. Croft is widely known for his geometric sculptures and paintings. His work transits without hierarchies between sculpture, drawing and engraving with a surgical dedication to geometry and architectural sensibilities. José studied Painting at ESBAL (Escola Superior Belas Artes de Lisboa) and Sculpture with João Cutileiro. His works is present in the collections such as the Centre Pompidou (Paris France), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid, Spain), Fundação de Serralves (Porto, Portugal), the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon, Portugal) or Museu de Arte Moderna (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

Maria Capelo (b. 1970, Lisbon), lives and works in Lisbon. Capelo’s work explores visual memory by gathering elements such as trees, hills, paths, mountains, and horizon lines and transposing them into landscapes. She has been exhibiting regularly since 1996 and include Sombras Rosas Sombras, at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes (Lisbon, Portugal) and MAIO NESTE INVERNO at Galeria Nuno Centeno (Porto, Portugal).
Her works are included in a variety of collections, notably the Coleção de Arte Contemporânea do Estado (Portugal), Coleção de Arte Moderna e Contemporânea Norlinda and José Lima (Portugal), Coleção de Arte da Fundação EDP (Lisbon, Portugal), and Centro de Arte Moderna da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon, Portugal).

Sobral Centeno (b. Porto, 1948) lives and works in Porto. Within his practice there is a transmission of memory: his chaotic rapid brushstrokes of hierarchical chaos, hide moments of consciousness. He makes use of symbolic themes such as the ladder, that guide our gaze, or even written systems. He has exhibited at Galeria Nuno Centeno with the exhibitions Espaço Series, des/construção, Abdcious 1961-1989 and Berlin Series.
Sobral’s work is included in several collections, notably,  Centro de Arte Moderna da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon, Portugal), Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves (Porto, Portugal); Coleção de Arte moderna e Contemporânea – Norlinda e José Lima (Portugal); Kunstmuseum Walter im Glaspalast (Augsburg, Germany); Shoes or No Shoes Museum (Kruisem, Belgium); L’Unesco La Galerie d’Art (Paris, France); Instituto de Arte Contemporânea ( São Paulo, Brazil); Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Pernambuco (Pernambuco, Brazil).
